& Portraits
Portrait sessions are my fav opportunity for us to hang out, get to know each other better, & get comfortable in front of the camera. Engagements, maternity, editorial, you name it, we’ll make it funky. All sessions include an online gallery, high res photos, & a good time.

I have been photographing weddings for 9 years, and have photographed over 200+ weddings.

It has taken many years of photographing 40+ weddings a year to realize that quantity is not correlative to quality. As my experience has increased, so has my expectations for the best and most comprehensive client experience possible. It is so important to me that each and every one of my clients has my full attention, capabilities, and energy. For this reason, I only accept 15 weddings per calendar year.

Clean, vibrant, and editorial imagery is my specialty. I have spent years perfecting my editing to give you the most true to life colors (with a little dazzle), so that your wedding will remain timeless among the decades, and photography “trends” that will come and go. I want your photos to feel relevant for the rest of your lives, and in doing so I pay extra attention to nuanced details in color, skin tones, and the environment around you on your wedding day.

OH YES I DO. Once I receive a day of schedule from you, I create a pretty little detailed photo timeline for you so you know what to expect and when. Don’t know where to begin with your day of schedule? Just ask and I can send you an example timeline from past weddings so you have somewhere to start!

Oh, absolutely! Film has become a true passion of mine, and it’s included in all of my full wedding packages. Here’s how I like to frame it—while I capture everything digitally, film serves as a beautiful complement to your gallery, adding diversity, texture, and a little extra vibe when the moment feels just right.

A huge part of my job as your wedding photographer is to walk into a room and immediately know the most flattering light, angles, and composition. For these reasons, it makes little difference whether or not I have shot at a venue before, because the best photos are completely dependent on the light, setting, and timing of the current moment. However, I love being familiar with my venues so if it is one I haven’t shot at before, I will always show up early to scout locations for your photos.

RAW images, or unedited images as some would call them, are essentially massive files that take up space on your computer, and include blinking, sneezing, stank faces, and the moments that don’t necessarily tell the story of how beautiful your wedding day really was. That’s why you hired me – to take care of all that for you. Giving out RAW files would be like giving you all the ingredients to make seafood enchiladas but no recipe. So in short, no, I do not give out RAW images because they are not your final product.

“There is so much to say about Carmen, but let us start by simply saying that choosing Carmen as our photographer was the single best decision we made for our wedding. On a scale of 1 to 10, she’s a 15.
When we first met Carmen, we told her we wanted to trust her creativity fully and not direct her process - we didn’t give me much direction, allowing her to flex her skills and wow, did she deliver. There really aren’t words to describe how incredible our photos turned out; after looking at her samples over a year ago after we got engaged, we knew we loved her vision, but there is no way we could have predicted how beautifully she would capture our wedding, with so much personality, creativity, and emotion. Every photo is stunning on its own, and even more stunning when shown as a part of the story of the day, which puts us in the terrible predicament of having to choose which to photos to frame in our home… it’s like Sophie’s Choice, just way less sad.
We’ll also say that you spend a LOT of time with your photographer on your wedding day and Carmen is honestly the COOLEST person you could choose to be around for all those hours. She is so chill and knows how to remain calm while doing her job, which is a quality that is so appreciated on the most chaotic and emotionally overwhelming day of your life. During the getting ready process in the morning she was fun, joking with us and our families, and having a great time, all while being a professional and getting all the shots she needed to make us happy / planning shots for the rest of the day.” -
