Why I love this place

There are so many reasons why Palm Springs is not only my favorite city in California, but my favorite city in the entire country. It’s like traveling back in time to old Hollywood, and entering a world of mid century modern greatness. Its palm tree lined streets, forever sunshine, and endless canyons make this beautiful place a destination for all. You truly feel like you’re escaping the business of everyday life and stepping into the chicest getaway of your life. For these reasons, and about a million more I’ll tell you down the line… Palm Springs has my heart and will always be the number one place I want to photograph weddings.

my favorite venues

The Ace Hotel

I don’t think it gets more glamorous and mid century modern than the Ace Hotel. Right in the heart of Palm Springs, the Ace Hotel is home to the famous Ace Swim Club; think rows of retro beach chairs and the most luxurious poolside service you’ve ever received. A fun feature is any couple that get married here, gets their name in a marquee by the ceremony site. If you want to see more from this gorgeous venue, check out my blog post from the Ace here.

Korakia Pensione

When you think “destination” Korakia Pensione is all of that and more. Korakia feels like a romantic Mediterranean getaway. Think Moraccan villas surrounded by flickering lanterns and fire pits at night.

The O’Donnel House

The O’Donnel house is a breathtaking venue settled into the San Jacinto mountainside. Expansive and gorgeous gardens, and vintage treasures make it feel like you’re floating on top of Palm Springs.

The Lautner Compound

The Lautner Compound is one of the coolest, mid century modern, oasis in Palm Springs. It feels like the home of a movie star, and it’s breathtaking desert/ ranch style architecture is like nothing I’ve ever seen.
