Desert Wedding at the Tumbleweed Sanctuary// Devin + Matthew

I’m a bit obsessed with the desert. That’s not a unique opinion trust me, if you have experienced the magic that is Joshua Tree you know exactly what I mean. Devin and Matthew caught that desert love bug all the way from Atlanta, and planned their entire wedding around creating that desert experience for their closest family and friends. The Tumbleweed Sanctuary is one of the most stunning venues in the Mojave desert and has an almost spiritual presence to it, so you bet I was excited as HECK to get to capture such a special day there.

Devin got ready in the stunning Joshua Tree House, and instead of doing her make up in the traditional bridal robes, opted to have her and her friends wear different tee shirts from National Parks across the U.S. (one of my absolute favorite ideas i’ve heard!) Her and Matthew shared their first look right outside that gorgeous AirBnb, and then headed over to the boho desert oasis they created at The Tumbleweed Sanctuary.

I will never forget this couple’s kind hearted nature and the way Devin kept repeating “this is SO fun” throughout the entire day. That spirit was embodied in every event of the day, and created a day that truly felt like a dream. And of course, behind every dream like day is a team of incredible vendors who made it happen:
